Community Gardens tour
The weather was perfect for our 2022 NENHN Community Garden tour last week. A small group of Managers, Committee Members and Volunteers from Neighbourhood Houses in the North East boarded the mini bus and visited 5 community Gardens across our network.
The bus tour was a great opportunity to learn about how each community garden has evolved over time, and how the community connect with the garden.
A big thank you to our hosts - SPAN, Burnley Backyard, North Carlton Railway Neighbourhood House, Carlton Neighbourhood Learning Centre, and Alphington Community Centre. Thanks also to PRACE who generously provided us with a 12-seater bus for the day, and to Bob - our wonderful bus driver.
